Customer Review: Not All It's Cracked Up To Be
Summary: 1 Stars

I had trouble installing the software for this item. The driver installed from the CD but in order to get the monitor software to install I had to download it from the web site. Since installation I have had instances where I picked up a stronger signal using my Toshiba laptop's built in wireless-N adaptor then I did when I turned that off and plugged in this item.

Customer Review: This item really works!
Summary: 5 Stars

The bottom line is that this item really works. It's unidirectional, so you have to turn the dish, but I an receiving wifi signals from accross the street! Mac and PC compatible, and it folds down for easy storage. If you are looking for an item that will extend your wifi reception range, this is the item for you. It works great right out of the box!

Customer Review: did not work at all
Summary: 1 Stars

Finally managed to return it after multiple phone calls, never worked, the light that was supposed to turn green never did. The product was defective and with the technical support difficult to understand (India ?) I will not be getting an exchange but my money back. The experience was disappointing although the seller was easy and accommodating

Customer Review: Hawking HWDN1 Hi-Gain Wireless-300N Network USB Dish Adapter
Summary: 4 Stars

This little adapter really works. I am at the far end of a G wireless router, housed in a concrete block building. Considering the distance, (at least 800 feet), this adapter gives a valiant effort - meaning the signal is not completely reliable, but considering, not too shabby.

Would I recommended it ... you bet!

Customer Review: Works in a Dorm
Summary: 5 Stars

My son lives in a dormatory and was having difficulty picking up a wireless provider. He averaged between one and two bars and was continuously losing connection. After installing this dish, he aimed it through the concrete walls of his building and received 4 bars. Now he has almost no trouble with his connection.
