Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Hawking HWDN1 Hi-Gain Wireless-300N Network USB Dish AdapterCustomer Review: Hawking Signal Booster Summary: 5 Stars
Using this booster in the window of my rv, I was able to receive a signal over the top of a large rv parked next to me even tho we were at the very edge of the reception area. Had I not received a better signal this way, I would have tried putting the booster outside on the roof. I don't know how it does in rain!
Other models are available at [...] but I bought at amazon.com because of expedited shipping.
Customer Review: Excellent Adapter, but pricy Summary: 4 Stars
First, it shipped fast. The product is very small. It picks up signal very far away. The CD that came with it did not work. I had to download the driver from the website. I feel it's little expensive for what it is. The cord is very short, so you might want a USB extension to really put the adapter where it can pick up the signal. If you can get a decent price on it.. like $40, I feel that it's worth it.
Customer Review: Hawking HWDN1 Summary: 4 Stars
I have only been using this product for a week now, and am learning more as time passes. Right off the bat it has at the very least doubled the number of available Wi-Fi signals that I knew existed from my desk. Also, it seems that the height that the antenna is placed in your location is important, as it can greatly increase the received signal. All-in-all I am impressed with this product. Thumbs Up!
Customer Review: Works great. Summary: 5 Stars
I was about to order another HWDN2, as it worked better than any stick or other peripheral, when I discovered the HWDN1. Paid more than I'd planned to, but it's well worth it. Easy to set up, and it really pulls in the signal. Right now, my signal strength is only 21%, but I'm cruising... Very happy with this product and will continue to purchase Hawking devices as needed.
Customer Review: nifty gadget Summary: 4 Stars
We have a weekend getaway home and monthly internet costs just are not justified by the amount of time we spend here. My neighbor two houses away let me use this item to access his wireless network and I must say, it's as if I am sitting in his living room instead of two houses away. Wish it was wireless instead of usb, but what the hey, I'm saving monthly internet fees.
