I am extremely pleased with the purchase of this speaker set. For such a small system, the sound quality is intense! While sound was the most sought after element, I wanted something that looked great sitting next to my iBook. I've always been turned off by equipment that was cumbersome and preferred something that was aesthetically pleasing. The controls for the bass, treble, and volume are located in convenient positions and do not detract from its smooth appearance. Within 5 minutes, my new sound system was up and running. If you want a cool looking speaker set with great sound, there's no need to look any further than the JBL Creature!Customer Review: Superb Sound

You cannot believe how much sound these tiny satellite speakers pump out! The quality of the sound is comparable to speakers which have a much larger size. Also, if you close your eyes, you can hardly imagine that you are hearing sound coming from such small (2 inch x 2 inch x 2 inch) speakers.I admit that the crossover frequency for the subwoofer may need a bit tweaking but the bass and treble knobs will do a good job. (Putting the subwoofer on the table might make it a bit more convenient to do so) Overall, the excellent sound and an out-of-this-world design make them a perfect 5 stars.

After reading all the hot reviews about this speaker system, I decided to replace my AR wedge speakers.
The speakers arrived yesterday and I hurriedly connected them, then fired up my MusicMatch. I tried listening to different music and could hardly hear it.. I cranked up all the volume and was dissapointed with how low the volume was. The base was good but the high range was not sparkling. I hooked back my old speakers and turned down the volume and it sounded far better than these creatures. Needless to say, they are on their way back to the shipper.

Just bought the grey version today and am thrilled with the quality of sound!! I am am a jazz guitarist and am keen on tone and good sound quality and can honestly say I don't have any quarms with the sound produced by these speakers, I don't find any problem with the mid frequencies if you just set the tone controls to middle for both bass and treble.A fantastic piece of kit, you won't believe the sound quality produced from such small speakers. You just want to crank them up as loud as they'll go coz the sound is so true and unobtrusive!

I love everything about these speakers, from the very convenient bass and treble adjustment knobs to the touch volume control. When you get the package first thing you will notice is that the speakers are smaller than they look in pictures (in my case this was a good thing). The sound from these speakers is clean and crisp.The little blue leds on the button of the speakers instantly make your desk look twice a cool.
Only downside is that there isn't a 5.1 version of these creatures. (But I've got my fingers crossed)
