These JBL Duet speakers truly sound great! I use them hooked up to my Ipod Shuffle and they sound awesome, for such a small 2 channel speaker set up. Do not expect major bass, because they do not have sub-woofer. They do clearly bring to the table, quality sound that more expensive speakers bring, for a fraction of the cost. I would recommend these to anyone in the market, looking for a two channel speaker system for there computer, portable audio devices or gaming.Customer Review: 2008 version is much improved!

Most of the bad reviews are from 2007 or earlier. I just purchased these and I think they're wonderful. NO buzz near my computer, next to other adapters or anywhere else. Control knob now has ridges on it and is easy to turn, with a satisfying click. Decent volume for the size, and bass is perfect for classical music (my preference). Small, very light, color matches silver ipod. For the money I don't think you can get any better. Highly recommended.Customer Review: Big Sound; Small Footprint

I have very acute hearing--my tests go off the charts. When I bought a new TV recently the speaker inside the TV was grossly inadequate. I had heard these speakers in the home of a hearing impaired family--the Dad had bought a set for his daughters who are able to hear. So, I ordered a set to connect to my bedroom TV. I've been very pleased with the audio quality. Easy set up; simple operation. The most difficult part was plugging them into the TV set.Customer Review: Fidelity, and not much else.

I have grown to like these speakers but they are not without their flaws. The volume control/power know is terribly designed, the styling is questionable, and bass response is mediocre. The amount of sound output for the size is good and the fidelity at high volumes is even alright. Overall, I would recommend them if space limitations prevent using a 2.1 system but the "bang for the buck" factor is rather low on these speakers.Customer Review: Fantastic the positive rating well deserved

So many have given the details on these speakers, so I won't repeat it....I'm really glad I read the reviews and decided to spend just a bit more than planned, they perform as the 5 star reviews state. I have a new Mac Mini, and they are perfect for that. Only little nit pick is the on off vol knob is pretty slippery and hard to use, a piece of scotch tape fixed it fine. The sound is as good as my Bose wave set up.
