Customer Review: Smart DVD storage solution

We have been looking for a storage solution for our 275+ DVDs. I ordered these binders based on reviews here on Amazon and we love them...mostly. One major flaw is the covers come pretty curved, so when the sleeves are filled they bow out and take up more space than necessary. My husband took the covers and forced them out of the curved position (by bending them) but as a result the paper liner on the inside of the covers is crinkled.
Curved covers aside, these binders are great. The little pocket for the disk has a top piece to fold over the top of the disk to keep the dust off and also keep the disk in the sleeve.
Pick up a package of extra sleeves, you can usually fit at least a few more in the binder to get it full.

These are the nicest disc storage binders I've found. It's fake leather, but well finished. It's maybe a bit overpriced for what it is (they seem to have a corner on the market for bookshelf-presentable binders. The insert pages are high-quality. Just A few caveats: supposedly these books are expandable with additional insert pages; this is only marginally true, as you can only get a couple of extra pages in before it becomes impossible to close it flat, particularly if you include inserts. If you store them upright (as on a bookshelf) the pages tend to slump down and if you are not careful you can jam them up when you return the binder to the shelf. So far I have been very pleased with this product. Just wanted to write a quick note on the realistic capacity for cd storage. If you are planning to insert the cd liner notes behind the cd, the binder will hold approximately 8-10 pages which translates into a storage capacity of 32-40 cds per binder. I ordered extra pages and found them totally unnecessary given that I inserted the liner notes behind my cds. The only need for extra pages is if you are not planning to insert your cd liner notes. Otherwise, just order the binders.
The binders also do feel like genuine leather and look exceptionally nice on display.

Looks REALLY nice. I think it's a pretty good value.
If you're going to use this to transport your cd/dvd's you might need to be careful because the cd/dvd's can slide up and out of the sleeves. (I think you can put the flap over the top of the cd/dvd, but it's a little bit of a pain.) However, if you don't think you'll accidentally turn the binder upside down, that should not be an issue. (If you are going to transport the cd/dvd's this way, I'd go with a binder that has a zipper that closes the outside of it.)
It might also be nice if the pages were more stiff, but that's not a huge deal.

My husband bought me several of these binders, and I've been so pleased with the organized storage they provide. My entertainment center was a mess before, and it was difficult to see what dvds we had or find what we were looking for.
Now the dvds are organized by categories (kids, adults, religious, etc.). My entertainment center looks orderly and classy.
Each binder has a place to insert a title on the binding, so you can find the right book. It is a binder, so you can add more pages. You can use it to store cds or dvds. It works just right! As good as I expected it to be.
