Customer Review: Works with GPS mount

Based on reviewer E. Lucio's comments, I also use this item as a GPS mount. I didn't use any "moisture" at all - just put the pad on dashboard (Toyota Yaris) and carefully attached the GPS mount to the pad, making sure it was firmly mounted. Went through Tennessee mountains(?) and back with no problems whatsoever EXCEPT that I put the pad in the glove compartment and and something inside my packed glove compartment ripped a plug out of the pad, probably the compartment's fastener. The pad itself gets very warm from sun and seems to easily melt or tear, so it's better not to leave it exposed to sun. It's a lot cheaper than what I had intended to pay for another mount, worked very well, never moved, convenient to store, and I am very pleased.
