The Handstands Cool Lift Portable Notebook Cooling Pad 22100 is so simple to use, doesn't make a sound, doesn't need to be plugged in, and absolutely does the job for which it's intended.
Plus, it's the least expensive notebook cooling solution I've seen.
My MacBook Pro 15" sits pretty securely on the Cool Lift (which I set on top of a beanbag lap desk), and keeps my laptop--and my lap--nice and cool. What a relief! My MacBook's fan, which before was running frequently (I do a lot of audio and video editing), hasn't run once since I've been using the Handstands Cool Lift. Love it, love it, love it!

Since my laptop was getting older and the battery started to die faster, it also heated up a lot faster since it is plugged in more. I was looking around at cheap cooling options and came across this.
Turns out this does its job well simply by raising the laptop and putting space underneath. It is a great and cheap option of the more expensive cooling methods for laptops. It's fairly sturdy, but not really meant to sit on your lap like some other coolers. This is more so to have on a desk or table. Good product, especially for the price.

you have to position laptop just right to get any cooling from this pad. And even when in exact position you only get minimul cooling
my laptop fan still runs constant to cool so I have found a USB port Fan cooler is much better and not as loud as my laptop fan trying to cool itself all the time
Put your money toward a USP fan cooler instead
AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS this was awful - the "bumps" that are suppose to hold up your laptop were all smooshed down so no airflow at all - another item for the trash can :(

I work with my laptop on a stationary desk and my laptop is constantly slipping off of it. The entirety of the product is smooth so the lifts don't grip the laptop and the bottom is subject to slide around on the desk.
Honestly, it turned out to be a waste of my money because every few minutes, I had to adjust the computer and reposition it on the pad. It's also pretty cheaply made. $10 turned out to be too much for it.
Before I got this product, I elevated my laptop using a sharpie and it actually worked a lot better than this.
Customer Review: Good Stand no more overheating laptop

My computer is almost a year old and never really had problems with overheating but recently its been blowing a lot of air. I always get bothering when my roommate's computer does that so decided that it needed a lift somehow. Thankfully this is a cheap quick fix you can take anywhere. Whenever I go to class or just use it at my dorm, I always have this on the bottom of it. I also bought a lap desk so when I use my comp on the bed. My computer is a 17" screen so its pretty huge, but all you need is the light lift. Worth the buy!
