Customer Review: It worked and charged my battery

I was prepared if this AC Adapter did not charge my battery. I really just wanted a power supply so that I can use my old laptop. We have other dell laptops. I was thinking that it I needed to charge this battery, I could use my other Dell AC Adapter. It's an old laptop, an Inspiron 8600 I bought in 2003. It probably won't hold much charge anyway.
But this AC Adapter did charge my battery, 100%.
My laptop did warn once during second startup that it could not determine the AC Adapter type. Usually that would lead not charging the battery. Actually, the original Dell AC Adapter that came with this laptop failed to charge my battery about 2 years ago and started gave warning like that. There was no remedy as it was way beyond warranty.
But I didn't see this warning the first time I started my laptop with the new AC Adapter. When I saw the warning this time, I unplugged the HQRP AC Adapter and pugged it back in, and restarted the laptop, there was no more warning. And it charged my battery.
In the end, if it's reliable in the long run and keep working for 2 or 3 years, I will be very happy. Right now, I am happy with it.
Delivery was slow. It took 9 days for me to get it. But I wasn't in a hurry, my laptop was in the closet for some time. That's why I am not that enthusiastic. I could have given it 5 stars.
