I never had the ear buds where they actually go inside the ear. I thought they were awesome at first but they block out so much sound it is weird to me. If you have had these types of ear buds before they are really nice! The volume control was amazing.

Not exactly sure how the ribbon is supposed to work. But the little sleeve is nice and I used it for my iPod
