Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Etón FR160B Microlink Self-Powered AM/FM/NOAA Weather Radio with Flashlight, Solar Power and Cell Phone Charger (Black)Customer Review: Useful in an emergency Summary: 4 Stars
A little longer than the size of my palm. Sound quality is adequate. Radio becomes unintelligible when you crank it for power. Has a USB port for powering something small (that would probably take a whole lot of cranking though) the flashlight isn't the strongest but it will definitely illuminate something.
Bottom line: I would purchase it again if I lost it.
Customer Review: Fantastic emergency tool! Summary: 5 Stars
This thing is amazing. The hand crank and solar panel both work great to charge the device, or a phone with a USB port or adapter. The light is ridiculously bright, and all 3 LEDs somehow focus into one perfect beam. The radio is clear and gets amazing reception even when the antenna is down. I can foresee MANY years of use of this product. I highly recommend buying it!
Customer Review: Holiday gifts Summary: 1 Stars
I bought three of these radios as gifts this past holiday season for my kids. Each one of them has failed to work well over the past few months. The battery begins to lose its charge and does not recharge well. The radio plays intermittently due to the poor battery charge. They look cute and were fun in the beginning, but now they each are asking for a new radio.
Customer Review: Initial Impressions Summary: 5 Stars
Looks like a quality product at a fair price. Sounds good, came charged and ready to play. Prompt delivery. Compact. The 10-15 minute crank requirement to charge cell for 1-2 minutes seems excessive. I guess in a SHTF situation you'd have time on your hands. Being able to charge you cell might be a lifesaver. I would recommend to a friend.
Customer Review: awesome Summary: 5 Stars
it came charged and is very quiet to wind up compared to my 8 dollar light. it goes pretty loud but the solar panel does not do much, it gets much better reception than any of my other emergency radios plus it has the weather radio. and a good light but when charging your cell phone you have to crank it the whole time i would recommend it
