Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Griffin iTalk Pro - MicrophoneCustomer Review: The WORST product Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this to record lectures. I go to a medium sized university. I always sit in the front row and some of my professors even use microphones, but when I play back what I've recorded, I get a lot of ambient noise and the lecturer is barely audible even after I fix up the files as best as I can using Audacity. Even using an external microphone, all I get is noise. This product is worthless. Hopefully I'll be able to return it.
Customer Review: Wonderful, economical microphone Summary: 5 Stars
I am a violin teacher and I ordered this microphone to use as an alternative to spending several hundred dollars on a CD recording machine. It is GREAT. The recording quality is very good, it's small and extremely portable, very easy to use. All of my fellow teaching friends who I have showed it to have been really impressed. I am using it with a 2nd generation Nano-- the specs do not say that it will work with one, but it does!
Customer Review: Can Transfer to iPod & Computer from Cassette or Album!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I was looking for a way to convert old cassette tapes, and I have found it! There is a place on the italk to plug in an external microphone. I ran a 3.5 cord from the headphone output of my boombox with cassette to the microphone input of the italk pro, and it worked! I did not need any extra software or equipment (besides the cord & boombox), and it was extremely easy. This should also work for albums. I love this thing!
Customer Review: Great little piece Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this with the intention of recording lectures & my own voice for test review. This is a great recorder & for the price you can not beat it. I have the Ipod Nano & despite what others may have said it does indeed fit & is very easy to use! The only thing I would complain if any is it is very sensitive to surrounding noise, if you are not in a quite setting it will record what is around you. Playback is super clear!
Customer Review: unsuitable for music because it skips constantly... Summary: 1 Stars
unsuitable for music because it skips constantly...
very disappointing!
don't buy this if you want to use it for music!
it works with my 2nd generation ipod nano, but it noticeably skips constantly.
it's fine for voice memos, but why bother building a stereo mic then...?
very disappointed by Griffin!
i would have returned it, but I gave it to a friend to record his lectures instead.
