Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Griffin Tempo Armband Case for Sansa e200 Series MP3 Players (Black)Customer Review: Cheap, fragile, poor fit Summary: 1 Stars
I've owned this for about a month. I find that it's made with cheap parts and has a very poor fit on your arm and a rather poor fit for your Sansa.
I feel that the armband is made for adults with 18" biceps. I'm extremely active, very athletic, work as a F-15 crew chief (mechanic), and go to the gym regularly, so my arms aren't scrawny and this thing slides down my arm frequently even with minimal jostling like while riding a bike or lifting weights - just gravity. I already tighten it so the velcro tab is partly sticking out and flapping and I often have to slide it up and retighten it, which is annoying while doing my workouts, and one day the d-ring for the velcro tightening strap snaps. It examine it afterwards and discover it's flimsier than an old rubber o-ring, which isn't good being plastic designed to keep a certain form.
The other parts and construction aren't very high quality either. The earphone wire wind up feature is neat, but the channel that's supposed to secure the wire at a specific length isn't very effective at all, both because it's a poor design and the channel is too wide. The opening for the Sansa's selection wheel isn't accurately cut for my Sansa e260. The Sansa likes to sit about a third of an inch lower. The transparent material is very cheap and already is getting cloudy, not to mention adds glare. I've had to increase the brightness on my Sansa's display to be able to see it through the material, which lowers its battery run time. I don't have a problem hitting the buttons. To power it off, I just pinch the corner where I know the button is hidden and use the tip of my thumbnail to hit the play button while it's in the armband. I'd do the same to hit the buttons without the armband.
I'd highly recommend seeking a different armband or going without one altogether. Since mine broke, I'm going without one, just storing my Sansa in my pocket and routing the wire under my shirt and it works just as well for what I use my Sansa for - turning it on, resuming playback, simply doing my thing and turning it off once I'm done.
