This product was reasonably priced and almost what I expected. I was looking for an auto power adapter that would power my older iPod. That is I expected an adapter that had a firewire connector to my older iPod. What I got was an adapter that had a firewire connector but came with a cable that had a newer edition iPod connector. Fortunately I had a firewire to firewire cable that could be used with the base plug so it worked out OK. I just wish that the description identified what cable came with the power adapter.Customer Review: Drive nowhere without it...

When I initially bought my iPod Mini I did not purchase this, but I soon found out if you play your iPod constantly like I do, you will be in dire straights if you don't have one. Some people will complain that the portion that goes in the cigarette lighter is loose ow whatnot keep in mind that different cars have different lighter sizes although they may vary slightly. I drive a Nissan Maxima and it fits very well...the cord is a wee bit short in my opinion but still worth the investment to keep your iPod playing.Customer Review: Not for the new iPods!

Actually, it's no star, but they wont let me do that. This charger is not a stand-alone item for the new iPod. It requires a firewire interface such as the docking unit, or some other sort of conversion item. Docking unit in your car? I dont think so. Belkin makes a great unit that not only works with the new iPods, but also has a small amp and volume control built in, with a output jack for plugging a cassette or remote transmitter into.If you have the newer iPods, I suggest you pass on this unit.

I've had this product for about a month now and have had no noise or interference with my iPod mini. It charges while it plays, and I have had it plugged in w/o the car running (no longer than 1hr), and the car battery didn't die. I use it with the Griffin iTrip with great results. I used it on an 8hr drive from IL to MI and was very pleased. I will be making the same trip home and back to school again soon and suggest this product to anyone who makes road trips.Customer Review: Thanks Griffin for pimping my iPod

This is my second (and counting) Griffin accessory for my iPod mini. First I bought the iTrip transmitter, and then I picked up this dandy little gadget since I was using my mini so much more and kept forgetting to plug it in at night. I like that the wire disconnects from the power unit to hook up to the USB port on my computer to update my mini. It is sooooooooo easy to use and helps since I travel a lot for hockey. Definitely a bargain at twice the price.
