This is just the headphone splitter we have been looking for! We travel lots and when we want to watch a movie or listen to music, it is so convenient to have the Griffin SmartShare Headphone Splitter--we can watch the same movie and have our individual volume! It saves money 'cause we only have to "buy" one movie/tv screen on the flight! My husband likes volume louder and I'm a low volume person, so these have been perfect for our needs. Our order came in a very timely manner so we could celebrate Valentine's day flying to Seattle and watching and hearing the inflight movie!Customer Review: Avoid this product!!!

This product is nothing more than a splitter. The volume control maybe allows for a 30% adjustment of volume at most. You cannot bring the volume all the way down to 0 in either socket. The volume range for each seems to be maybe 70% to 100% of the volume from the device, which is not good.
Perhaps I have a defective unit, I'm not sure. If this is how the product is designed, then I would look at another product unless you just need a simple splitter without any real volume control.

Not to much to say, this works well and the individual volume controls are perfect as my wife has better hearing than I do. One thing not mentioned in the information is it also comes with a short mini 3.5 mm adapter for devices than have limited room around the output jack. Due to the lack of this I spent an un-nessesary $4 on one for my video player only to find one comes with this item. Not for kids as I don't think it would stand up to rough treatment, otherwise a good item.Customer Review: Cool little product

I got this thing so I could split the audio out from my MacBook when watching DVDs. My viewing companion and I each plug in our headphones to each end of the split consoles, each get good crisp sound, and each get to control the volume that comes through the wire. Only complaint would be to maybe have the sound control bar a little longer/broader to effect a broader volume control. But it's a minor quibble with an affordable smart product that performs a simple task ably.Customer Review: Good product

I don't know what Baltimore MW's problem is with this product. It met my expectations. It lets me plug two sets of ear plugs into my ipod. It is not too bulky, the volume control is a very nice feature, and I have not found it slide out of the plug. My wife and I plan to take it on a long plane ride and I believe it will let us listen to music in peace while letting me not have to listen to music at her volume (and she won't have to listen at my volume).
