Purchased one for me, one for my wife, and they both safely charge our iPhone 3GS's when we use them. The only thing I don't care for is how the included cable is more difficult to attach to the iPhone when compared to the traditional white iPod cable. I'm careful when I use it but I wonder it could damage the phone. Beyond that, it's a solid product and would recommend.Customer Review: Intermittent connection

I BARELY used this product, and it was not stressed in any kind of way while being stored in my car, however it already has an intermittent power issue. If the cable near the power connector to the Ipod/Iphone is bent a certain way, then you get NO power! This is really annoying because you have to try to place the cable in an ideal configuration for it to work.Customer Review: Worked great while it worked

Very unreliable! We bought this to charge an iPod nano and iPhone 3G while on a long road trip. It turns one color when plugged into the car and another when a device is plugged in. It worked great for a few weeks and then just quit, no light when we plugged it in. We pulled the fuse out to see if it had blown, but it was fine. Reading the mixed reviews had me second guessing this charger especially with the term "redesign" in the name... I'm totally satisfied with this charger! Read issues with short cords, tight fitting plug, heat... This charger has none of these issues! I especially like the locking feature of the plug keeping the phone from getting loose. This is my second one... Not because it went bad or anything like that, It dropped between the seats on my last fishing trip and got mutilated when someone adjusted the seat position.
I didn't think twice about which charger I wanted to get to replace it.
Do not hesitate getting this model if you need one.
