This product keeps surprising me with it's flexibility. Customization requires a small amount of time and knowledge (easily attained through internet searches). Great for party guests to scroll through photos or music libraries without having to touch your computer! Video editors must have this tool. It's not programmable, you cannot use it in the Finder or in any mainstream application (e.g. Safari, Mail, Aperture..)
Photoshop CS4 implementation is flimsy.
So the only real use (unless you're into 3D AND your application is supported AND it works as expected) is in Google Earth.
Go with a Power Matte instead...

Wonderful little gadget! I understand how many people can expect a lot from a simple device but, if you understand that it's meant to be used with a mouse rather than a stand alone device then you'll appreciate how useful it can be! I'm running a test release of Windows 7 and the software simply won't even run. It ran once when I first installed it, but after that clicking on it does nothing. I can't set up the device for any other programs as a result. Until new drivers are released, IF new drivers are released, this is just an overpriced knob.Customer Review: simple and concise

if you want a simple devise that can do one to three simple easy things, this is perfect, it can also get get more complicated by allow it to do something unique in each application, or use several of them and assign different tasks.
