A nice little mount for a monopod. It is compact enough (it adds about 2" to the height of the monopod), very light and appears well made. But this is a basic ball/swivel and leaves me wanting something more, but for the price it cannot be beat. I am an amatuer photographer and this head will probably be good enough for a few years so I really do not have any complaints.Customer Review: Giottos Camera Mount

This is a great swivel head for a monopod and adds necessary functionality. I have not had any problems with my DSLR and telephoto lens. The price is good; however, you have to consider that the vendor adds $7 or $8 for shipping. Thus, if I had to do it again, I might spend an additional $10 at a local camera shop to get a camera mount with a removable base.Customer Review: Ideal product

This item is exactly what one needs to tilt one's camera sideways to take a portrait photo using a monopod. It is well made and inexpensive. The only thing this needs is a longer threaded section on the top

I tried this head with 6lbs load and all it would do was flop over. I think 2 to 3 lbs would work fine, but 7 is really unrealistic for this small ball head. Nicely made piece of gear otherwise...
