Customer Review: Mine Worked Great, But Beware Of Knock-Offs

Amazon has done a great disservice by lumping iPhone chargers from various knock-off vendors into this one listing. Some of them work great, others are junk. How can anyone tell which is which? Make no mistake, based on who you buy from (and what they feel like selling you on that day) you may get vastly different items and experience vastly different results.
A good start is to name the vendor you bought from. Based on the comments from another reviewer, I purchased two of these adapters from OEM Planet. I got lucky. For six bucks I have two working chargers that would have cost me $60 at the apple store.
My two chargers work great. They have successfully charged two different digital cameras, my GPS, an iPod nano, an iPhone 4, and an iPhone 3GS. When plugged into the iPhones they charge at a rate of around 1% per minute. This is comparable to the adapters that came with the phones. The chargers are absolutely identical in size, shape, and color to my original Apple charger. Unlike the original Apple charger, they do NOT have a sticker with writing or a green dot. They do NOT match the pictured image. When looking inside the USB connector I can see that the Apple model has gold-plated contacts. My adapters use cheaper silver-colored contacts. The wall adapters came without any packaging whatsoever. They were dropped in a bubble-envelope and sent to me first class mail. Without any packaging there is no way to tell who made them, what model they are, or any other information.
I needed an extra power adapter so I could charge my phone at work. This item seems to have met my needs, but I feel this was simply a gamble that paid off for me. If you buy this item I wish you good luck.
