I have to say, I have never been so disgusted with a product before now. I'd like to ask the idiot who designed this a few questions. Like, since when does a VGA output support AUDIO? Why are there yellow, RED, AND WHITE cables? Why do they ALL have to be plugged in to the source at the same time in order to deliver a picture worth looking at. Oh, but wait. They don't make Video input cables like that. They don't even make an ADAPTER! Do not buy this product. Big disappointment. Haven't even tried the S-Video input. The following product, isn't intended, but maybe mis-leading into making you believe that you can connect your laptop into a television. But there was software issues. I can not explain that portion. But when I bought this item I intended on using it to use xbox 360 or nintendo wii running it to the monitor thus the "RCA TO VGA" hookup. There are and is cords for connecting laptops or computers to televisions. Such cords are S-VIDEO or HDMI. Anyways, off topic, this product worked great when I used it for what I bought it for! Use it as a monitor although when hooked up, the laptop is not recognizing the tv as a secondary monitor under the graphics property options, any suggestions or is there a step I am missing maybe when I am hooking up the adapter?

this is the worst piece of crap since Mormonism. DON'T BUY THIS EVER! i got this so i could hook up my video game console to my computer monitor, because rca and vga are both analog then it should work but it didn't, wait there's more. since that didn't work then i tried to use it for my laptop and that didn't work either. so i can't figure out if this piece of crap has any use at all!!! I bought it to connect my RCA surveillance security system output to a VGA monitor (not TV). The wasting of the money spent on this crap is not the main problem. It's the time you spend second guessing the integrity of all the other components you have in your system, only to realize that you wasted hours of your time because this piece of crap was always the problem.
