I recently bought this and read all of the past reviews. I would just like to say that I am in Iraq and the small retractable charger has taken quite a beating over here. But the only damage is at the base of the plug in because I always have it tucked behind stuff. The price is amazing, less than 3 bux???? what do you really have to lose over three dollars?
The stuff IS cheaply priced so dont try to treat it like it a solid piece of equipment.
Dont snap it shut, ride it closed. Instead of playing with the retracctable piece, only use it when you have to.
it's nice and simple, super cheap, it hasn't failed me once yet and it has been a month of 115+ heat, sand storms, iPod droppings, iPod squishings and charger tossing accidents. No casualties yet and I like to keep it that way. If you are nervous about having the charger break buy 2 like me :]
bought one to tes and now #2 will be my back-up.
I feels cheap cuz it IS cheap.
shipping is more than the actual; price.
the car charger and home charger are just added bonuses go and try to buy just the iPod charger cord from Apple for less than 10 bux. good luck. I found this one for under 3!!!

Yes It Breaks, But for the price of .56 cents its still good. Love it and treat it nice and it will last at least a few months. If you want a REALLY long lasting piece of equipment look elsewhere cuz this price matches the quality of equipment. But for something simple and easy to use this makes the cut.Fragile and sometimes irritable as it may be. It is easy on the eyes and the wallet. BEWARE It's A Steal :]
Mostly Good For Charging iPods, Yes it will connect them too, but not as effectively as one would hope. Learn how to use a sautering iron [or know someone who does] and you can easily repair it anywho :)
