I was a little nervous about ordering this because of the negative reviews but wanted to be able to completely charge my GPS in the house. I just surfed around the web and read some reviews here on Amazon about this product and ones similar to it. Apparently they don't work at all except on very low amperages. I needed an adapter to use my car vaccuum in the house and this definitely doesn't work for that.Customer Review: You get what you pay for

This item was very cheap, and did not work that well. I guess a better quality like item would have been better. It's okay, but it takes a very long time to charge my item. designed of low voltage use only like recharging gps or cell phone. On 120 volt US can not turn gps on while charging would overload it, but on 220 volt I had no problem running gps and charging it..... much cheaper than buying manufacturer's adapter....
