I ordered this for my husband as a stocking stuffer. I didn't expect a lot because of the low price but it did cost me almost double that price in shipping costs. We were very disappointed when it didn't work at all. First, the package states batteries are included...there were none. No problem...we placed new working batteries in it and still it would not work. We then re-tested the batteries, put them back in the unit and still it would not work. I e-mailed the company on 12/26/06 and received an automated response that a technical support rep would respond as quickly as possible. It's now January 9th and I still have heard nothing.

I would like to hear something back so we can resolve the issue. Thank you.

I got it mostly for setting up campfires when...well..camping, but it's come in pretty handy around the house as well. Working under the sink, on the car etc. The first one I received was defective so I had to send it back and also paid for shipping it back which was lame, but received the second one and it's been working as expected. Decent illumination, good battery life, makes you look somewhat cheesy but handy as heck.

well i love to be cheap and this does the job i need it to do, there are 4 setting, the 4th setting gets weak as time battery goes by, but the led lights(settings 1-3) never go weak, i've had it for 5 months, havent need to change batteries yet.
