well i'm gonna be honest it isn't the best camera. with the rice of this webcam you literally get what you paid for. It doesn't have any directions and its very easy to use all you have to do is plug it up and start chatting with who ever you want. though i have to admit the quality is pretty bad and you don't have the option to focus it on anything so you'r gonna have to find a way to adjust yourself for the best view.
so yeah this camera is a decent camera its better for people that are looking for something that's affordable and easy use.
(its very small and and super easy to break so BE CAREFUL)

well, for people who still didnt buy it, DONT !
it's a piece of junk, its name is : "5.0 Megapixel USB PC Webcam Camera for PC Laptop Notebook" sounds like we will have a picture quality of 5.0 Megapixel for a cool price. But the think is (after few reserch) i found that "5.0 Megapixel USB PC Webcam" is the name of the brand !!! and not reference of the quality !! wich it means you'll buy something like : "xxx Camera for PC Laptop Notebook" and there's nothing to say about the quality or anything else.
and for real this camera quality is 0.7 Megapixel wich is the lowest quality you can find for webcams

It is a great little desktop camera. Supposedly, this camera works on the reference drivers; therefore, there is no annoying software to install or update later. The camera itself has a great resolution that produces good picture quality. It even has useless LED lights that my daughter likes. So far I did not find any software that does not work with it.
One other thing you may notice is that unlike other more expensive cameras, this one does not come with a bracket to hung it on the screen of a laptop.
My home PC is a desktop (I know I am quaint) i7 running Windows 7.

I have to return this cam because of two major reasons.
1.) The lights did not power on
2.) There was a weird pattern showing up over the image going to the screen. It was not dust. It was more like a honeycomb pattern which whited out the portions of the image it covered
This cam came poorly packaged, which is pretty uncommon for Amazon products. I don't think the cam was well-protected at all, which might be why it was not functioning properly.
I guess you get what you pay for; when it comes to electronics, maybe you should spend a little more!

After reading all the great reviews I bought this for my husbands laptop, shipped it to Iraq and got all excited that I would finally get to see my husband but I am very disappointed! The clarity sucks, the image never focuses, and it looks like he is in a room full of fog! We use Yahoo Messenger to chat, I haven't tried it with Windows Live I hope it looks better thru there. It was easy to install according to my hubby but the what is the point if I only see my husband as a blur, like a person who needs glasses and can't find the right prescription! If anyone knows how to fix it please help!
