I picked one of these up over the holidays, after playing around with the two that my mom purchased on sale at the local MALL-WORT. Its a great little flashlight for the money. Nice, even, wide, bright white beam. Not that weird, bluish white that many cheap LED flashlights produce, but a real true-white beam. Nor does it produce a bright little spot with a wider, dimmer ring around it. I picked up a different, cheap 9 LED light on an impusle recently, but it just doesn't stack up in brightness or build quality to the Garrity. Package says it will go for 10+ hours on one set of batteries. Buy one for your garage and another for your car!
Oh, and I purposely popped that little ring out just to see what Richard was going on about and had no problem getting it back in.

I am primarily buying these for my Mom, who has macular degeneration. These are perfect to help her see what she needs to around the house, and small enough to carry in her purse for shopping and reading menus. I was so glad to find them here, because the stores around this area don't have them anymore--I've looked everywhere. I added a real lanyard (got at Staples) to some of them for her, so she can wear one around her neck. She will love getting more of these for her upcoming birthday... at 84, there's just not a whole lot of stuff she really needs, but she actually ASKED me to find more these flashlights... and she NEVER asks for anything!Customer Review: Garrity LED Flashlight

This is a great flashlight! What a wonderful gift it makes. It's small enough to carry in your pocket or your purse. And it's so bright - really bright. I've given several of these as gifts and notice that my friends seem to be using them frequently.
I looked and looked in the grocery store, hardware store, drug store, etc, and could not find any at all. They come in all colors, my favorite is red, but my husband likes the yellow one, also come in black, and perhaps other colors. So I thought I'd check on Amazon.com and sure enough! there it was - and at an excellent price. I bought three and saved on shipping costs.

Otherwise someone wouldn't've stolen my first one. I bought another one to replace it. Yes, it's that good...even handier than the Maglites I own. That should say something. Losing this puppy was just about as bad as sensory deprivation, so once another one got into my hands, it was like the world was right once more. Unlike $3 Chinese LED flashlights, this has good construction, precisely-aimed LEDs, Duracell batteries and a sealed, rubber housing. There is not a single fault with this flashlight and thus I recommend it wholeheartedly.Customer Review: The little light that could.

A nice "small" sturdy flashlight for the glove-box or night stand. I have three of these myself, and gave several away as gifts and stocking stuffers. A great "emergency light" you can carry in your pocket.
I did incurr a problem in two flashlights with the battery holder as the contacts could be better designed as in my other LED flashlights.
The light is bright with the 9 LED's, and the switch (button on end) is strong and does not easily turn on by itself so the batteries will not be run down when you need light.
