The Garmin Nuvi 880 is an awesome GPS unit. I've tried many in the past, and nothing comes close to the Garmin 880. Voice recognition works flawlessly. I'm definitely going to keep the MSN Direct subscription after the free 3 month grace period. Never need to touch the screen while driving. Hands-free everything! Directions, iPhone dialing with bluetooth, traffic, weather, restaurants, movie theaters and much more. The price tag puts it at the top of the GPS $$ ladder, but it's worth every penny.Customer Review: surprised me

I bought this for my wife because she is geographic illerate. Didn't think I would like it at all (maybe because i'm a guy and don't need directions),but we took it on a ski trip north day after christmas. We hit an ice storm that had semi's and cars unable to make it and down hills. Had it not been for the garmin and the detour feature we would have never had made it. We would get some were the road was blocked and hit detour take us right a round and be on our way again.Customer Review: Another excellent Garmin product

The 880 is another excellent Garmin product. I previously had a C550 and enjoy the larger screen. MSNDirect is a great add on although you have to be near a fairly large city to get updates. Voice command is the biggest plus, although at times(very rare)it does have a hard time understanding certain commands. Not sure if it is caused by areas with heavy road noise or my voice. The only thing that does not work is the FM transmitter, it is scratchy and useless.Customer Review: great device

Christmas present for my daughter. She loves it!! bluetooth and fm transmitter worked flawlessly. Mp3 player sounded great on the car speakers. I fooled around with it for 2 days while she was here. Im going to get another for myself. I never thought I needed a gps for directions (except on my fishing boat!) but being able to quickly find gas/atm/food or .... is a big plus when away from home. The directions although good were not always the fastest routes.Customer Review: Excellent

The Garmin 880 is an excellent driving aide. The graphics and audio features are superb. When positioned on a dash board, the display is easily readable in the day as well as the night. The unit's speech is clear and distinct; and the unit's response time is quick. It recalculates a new route to a destination when a turn is missed, at a rate that minimizes any deviation to travel time or distance traveled between two points.
