First I must point out that this is the first G.P.S. unit I've owned of any kind.
The Garmin n?vi 250 3.5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator (English/French Version) is a simple to use G.P.S. Navigation device that I've used several times so far since buying it and I'd recommend it as a starter unit to anyone interested in getting a G.P.S. or as a low cost alternative to one of the more expensive models if you are on a budget.

The title says French/English and people think it is different from English version. But it is not. I have been using the American-English accent without any problem. It is not as good as my Nuvi-350 but is really worth the price you pay.Customer Review: It's just great !!!

I bought this particular model because a friend of mine has it....It works great...Although I have a good sense of direction, sometimes I like to get off the "beaten' path". Now I can get right back on track without a problem....Voice is clear..easy to see graphics....Customer Review: The Best

I purchased this product as a gift for a friend and I know it will be enjoyed. I have one too and I can tell you that navigation is accurate and timing is perfect when making turns. An excellent product in my opinion. A definite must-have.
