Customer Review: Can I go back to my old version???

I've had the new update for about two weeks now and I'm disappointed. I haven't found any new POI's that weren't in my last one (which was done in '04 or '05), even though there are quite a few things that aren't in there still. Portland, Oregon doesn't change that fast. They should be able to keep up with it, but it doesn't look like they can. It also "unlearned" my way home. The old version used to take you through the main gate (which is the only way you're getting in if you don't live here) but the new one tries to take you through the back gate. I wonder if I can unload it and go back to the older version and send this back to Garmin...Customer Review: Garmin Disappointment

I contacted Garmin about the maps that didn't include various places in Denver where I was residing; they emailed back & suggested I get the 2008 update; I purchased the update & STILL was missing some prominent places in Denver, I emailed Garmin back & was told that the 2009 version was about to come out & the 2008 version represented 2006 mapping!!! So within a 3 week period Garmin was suggesting I buy an upgrade from 2008 to 2009, ignoring that I had just bought what I thought was the newest upgrade; I feel that this has been very deceptive of Garmin & when I responded back all of a sudden no further response was made by GarminCustomer Review: Don't bother

Price was excellent. Product??? After 3 years I thought an update might be useful. Previous software sometimes led to very inefficient and confusing routings (although it would eventually get you to the destination), especially in urban areas and near reconfigured interstate interchanges. However, with the new software, on a recent trip: in one instance, at a right or left turn, it told me to turn the wrong way from which it would have been impossible to get to the destination w/o doubling back; in another instance, I was at my destination and software said I had 17 miles to go to get there!
Pretty disappointing.

*CAUTION* This update is too big to fit on the C330, you can either load the lower 48 states or the canada-us border states but not both. You willnot know this until after you have erased you exsisting maps. If you call Garmin they will send you a flash card with the Canada maps and you can load the lower 48 maps. Otherwise you will only have half the maps that you started with. If you aren't prepared for a bit of a hassle and a long time on hold with Garmin support and you need all the maps, do not buy this update if you have a C330. At teh end of the day, the maps arenm;t all that updated, especially if you live in Las Vegas.Customer Review: Updated maps, but not complete

The updated maps are supposed to be corrected through April, 2008, but still do not recognize a portion of the 210 freeway in San Bernardino County, Calif. through the Redlands area. This portion has been built and in existence since 2007. Therefore, the navigator tries to divert you to the 15 and 215 freeways or onto local streets to cross this stretch, and would indeed be confusing to a driver not familiar with the fact that the 210 freeway is continuous from the 57 freeway to the 10 freeway.
I purchased the update specifically to avoid this confusion, but apparently the mapping was not as up-to-date, as claimed.
