Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Garmin GPS III Waterproof Hiking GPSCustomer Review: The Best non-routing GPS's on the Market Summary: 5 Stars
Most hand held GPS devices do not actually do routing internally. The GPS III Plus has detail maps that can be uploaded to it, and programs like Street Atlas from Delorme add the routing before you leave the house or from your laptop on the road. The III Plus from Garmin is top notch and you get lots of time on batteries or use it with the car cord and sandbag for your dash.
Customer Review: I was just about to buy it but..... Summary: 1 Stars
I was already getting out my credit card when I was made aware of the fact the Garmin has no intention of supporting its products and consumers with mac based downloading capabilities.... With a unit taunting high-end, up-to-date features, I say, "Get with the Times, Garmin! " Mac owners worldwide will appreciate a company that cares about them!
Customer Review: Take it and you wont get lost Summary: 5 Stars
I take my Garmin GPS 111 plus every where I go and it workes great, I see some statements that you can not put a large city info into the unit, I put all of NYC into the data base and it hold all the 5 buroughs plus 2 NJ countys, if Im going out of the metro area I just download the area where Im going to use it. I cant say enough about the Garmin GPS 3
Customer Review: This Product is saving my marraige Summary: 5 Stars
Like any "real" man, I hate to ask for directions, a trait that has led to many an argument with my wife. Since buying the Garmin GPS III, there has not been a single argument. If you are tired of acting like you know where you are going, and really want to be heading in the right direction, buy this product now. Your wife will thank you.
Customer Review: Great Product Summary: 4 Stars
I have used this product for a few months now and absolutely love it. However, if you are primarily doing steet navigation, I would suggest moving up to the Steet Pilot which has a larger screen and color. The Garmin III is more than suitable for street navigation, but the screen size and lack of color can get old pretty quick.
