Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Garmin Forerunner 310XT Waterproof Running GPS With USB ANT Stick and Heart Rate MonitorCustomer Review: Love this device Summary: 5 Stars
I have had this for over a month now and love it very much. It works very well and I love being able to check out all the data at the end of my workouts. The unit itself isn't as big as I thought it might be. It doesn't stick off my wrist too bad. I haven't had it catch on anything yet. I changed the display to show 4 things so I can see what time it is. It is easy to upload the workout to the garmin site to later review my data. Since it is winter I haven't had a chance to try it in the ocean yet. That will have to wait a few more months. I like the fact that is water resistant to 50 ft. I don't have to worry about sweat or rain. I am very happy with choosing this unit to track my workouts.
Customer Review: Go back to 305 Summary: 1 Stars
I had high expectations for this unit but were unfounded. Bottom line I returned it and am using my 305. NO WAY WORTH $350. I confirmed with Garmin that the calorie calculation is totally off with no software fixes in site. It also seems to record data on the wrong dates. This was also confirmed. Garmin released this and was no way ready. It is advertised as a triathlon watch but it wont track you in water so no better than a 19.95 Casio there. It is cool and finds satellites quicker but comes with nothing (not even a HRM for $350). Best advice go back to 305 for half the price. GArmin flopped on this one. PS I love Garmin products and own many. This one is NOT one to own...
Customer Review: Amazing Training Tool! Summary: 5 Stars
I have had my unit for less than 24 hours - In the first 15 minutes I easily setup up the watch & paired the heart rate monitor. After work, I went running with the new Forerunner unit. It was EASY to use and READ throughout my run. Early this morning I setup the ANT+ which easiliy paired with the unit. I uploaded the history and route to the [...] website with a simple click. Then I stared in amazement at the recorded details of my run with pace, elevation changes, the exact route, HR zones, etc. I can highly recomment this product! Now that I have this excellent technology, the only hard part that remains is the work of actually burning up the trails!
Customer Review: Nice lasting battery Summary: 5 Stars
Im a marathon & ultramarathon runner, certain mountain ultramarathons will take as long as 10 hours to be run, i had the Gramin 405 which has a battery time of tops 7 or 8 hours , simply it was not making the trick for me , so i just bought the 310XT and love the battery duration.
This is a device that could be used on an ultramarathon or an iron man without worrying of the battery which is the case on the 405 ...
Love the colors of the gps and the screen , im a happy camper, now ill be able to measure my next race completely , last race i was so angry after 8 hours de 405 died on me =(
Customer Review: Greatly improved over previous Forerunners Summary: 5 Stars
I upgraded from a Forerunner 205 and the difference is night and day. I've used it for almost a month now for running, swimming and biking and it doesn't lose the signal as my 205 tended to do. Even under low hanging branches or multiple lane highway/train overpasses, this device keeps the satellite signal. I especially like how it vibrates at the completion of each mile or whenever an alert is necessary. Also, when you first turn it on it takes less than a minute to locate the satellite signal. Great product. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of upgrading or first time users.
