I bought this updated version of the Mapsource software to use with my GPS (because that's all it supports). Still retails for quite a bit more than it's competitors so what can you do? The Graphics are the same as v.7 with no additional/different icons and the geocaching features that worked before I installed it, no longer work. (with the logging the find and putting it into the calendar) same as before. So over all it's the same old same old. I WAS LOOKING FOR MEXICO'S MAPS, AND I WAS ABOUT TO PURCHASE THIS PROGRAM, WHICH IS ADVERTISED AS ...."DETAILED MAPS OF THE UNITED STATES, CANADA AND MEXICO"...NONETHELESS UNDER THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION IT SPECIFICALLY STATES THAT IT INCLUDES PUERTO RICO INSTEAD OF MEXICO. I AM A LOYAL CUSTOMER OF AMAZON AND WOULD JUST COMMENT THAT THEY HAVE TO SORT OUT THIS DISCREPANCY, WHICH I THINK IS CRITICAL. SINCE I NEEDED THE MEXICO MAP I ORDERED AN SD CARD WITH THE MAP IN IT...I HOPE IT'S MEXICOCustomer Review: Look out for excessive copy protection

Copy/piracy protection for their maps is so obsessive that even their own staff cannot easily circumvent it in the (inevitable) case where copying is necessary. In my own case, I had to replace my 705 with another, but since I had already downloaded my (purchased) North American DVD of maps, I was unable to unlock the map without 3 hours (!) of telephone assistance from technical support. ! This is supposed to be called customer service?? There just has to be a better way...Customer Review: It will get you there.

Using this software on the Garmin Vista HCx. As talented as the unit is, it could do so much more, but the software is a great enhancement. I wish I had other Map software to compare it to. It doesn't always pick the right roads and sometimes it picks roads you would never take and vice versa. However, its ability re-calculate after you missed a turn or didn't want that road, is really cool. I haven't been able to truly test it in every aspect yet, but it will get you there.Customer Review: what you might expect

Yep, it maps that work with the Garmin just as expected. I was a little surprised about all of the hoops that are necessary to jump through to get the thing "unlocked" but it worked as it was supposed to.
Another surprise is that you can use it only on one of your Garmin GPSs. You might think that if you buy multiple Garmin GPSs that you might not have to buy multiple map updates (one for each GPS)...not the case.
Otherwise an ok product.
