It works fine. It meets my expectations. I needed it for when I am not in the car but want my GPS unit to be charged. I's easy to store. It is the right length. Because I make foreign trips, but will not have my car available, this allows me to use the GPS unlimited. This lets you charge your compatable GPS before taking off and while editing your route at home or hotel. This charger does not put your GPS in PC mode as some aftermarket chargers do. Many GPS operational problems come from internal battery being undercharged. This unit is Garmin but much lower price than from Garmin direct. If I would have looked closer at the description I would have seen the international adapter that comes with the P.S. I didn't and so was pleasantly surprised as we are headed for Australia soon. The P.S. is compact and it works fine at a very reasonable price compared to cell phone power supplies. Delivered earlier than promised by U.S. Mail.Customer Review: Great add-on

It's really nice to be able to charge the unit from the wall rather than just the cigarette lighter. I used my Nuvi for walking around several European cities over the past couple weeks and this allowed me to recharge it without access to a car. The two included plug adapters (in addition to the standard USA plug) offer some great versatility.Customer Review: Just Plug it In!

The title says it all. Plug in the AC block (after selecting the appropriate clip-in prongs), plug the other end into your Garmin Nuvi, and it's "Charge!".
One word of WARNING! It's all too easy to pull the block from the wall and leave the prongs behind.
Be sure to pull PERPENDICULARLY to the wall.
