Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Garmin 4.3-Inch Carrying CaseCustomer Review: Does what it is suppose to Summary: 4 Stars
Forget the complaints about this. It does what it is suppose to. Is it high quality leather. No but it also does not need to be supple high quality leather. It is good quality leather. For the price it can't be beat and it does what it is suppose to. It protects your GPS. My Garmin slips in and out without problem. The fit is a little snug but it is suppose to be to keep the Garmin inside. I give it 4 stars only because time while tell. My own concern is if the leather stretches (with use) and the garmin starts to slide out. I think a small snap or flap on the top would have made it 5 stars for me. But like I said at this price point I really have a hard time complaining!
Customer Review: Garmin Carrying Case Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this case along with a Garmin Nuvi 855 (see separate review). Believe it or not, I put the 855 into the case (VERY difficult), then worked for about 15 minutes trying to get the darn thing OUT of the case! I assumed that, being new, it just required some "stretching" to accommodate the device. WRONG - after 2 days in the case, I still couldn't get it out. Finally went to Best Buy and bought a zippered Lowepro case for the device, and threw the Garmin case in the trash. I think this case might work with the newer version of Nuvis, which are thinner than the 8XX series Nuvi. If you buy an older model Garmin Nuvi, pass on this case and get something different.
Customer Review: Love this case Summary: 5 Stars
I read the reviews on this product before I purchased it. They were mixed with some people complaining it was difficult to get the GPS in and out of the case and that sometimes it accidently got turned on when you put the GPS in the case. Some people said it was poor quality. The review that convinced me to buy it was someone said "You'd have to be an idiot not to figure out how to use this." Whoever said that was right, it couldn't be easier! The quality is fine. If I could "wish" I would ask that a choice of colors was available and a small strap for carrying or attaching to my purse. Other than that I love it and am very happy I bought it!!
Customer Review: Excellant Nuvi Case Summary: 5 Stars
Never had a case for my old unit and this one is excellent. Some of the reviews may indicate otherwise. Yes--the leather is a little hard and I find it as tough as can be. Now I can take the unit out of the vehicle, slip it into my brief case or pocket and not have to worry about it being stolen when I valet park. Also I can hook up wile sitting on the patio at Starbucks. The case meets all our needs and is exactly as we expected. If you are looking for a soft leather you might be better off just getting a cloth cover at the dime store.I find the protection offered by the case to be very good unless you plan of playing Frisbee with the unit.
Customer Review: Garmin leather carrying case Summary: 3 Stars
This is an OK product as far as it goes. But Garmin really needs a nice carrying case that will hold a GPS unit, its power cord, and whatever attachment device one chooses to use. A carrying case that cannot hold all three of these things is, in all honesty, relatively useless. This unit holds only the GPS and even that is a very snug fit. For example, there is no room to hold even the supplied "intro" instructions, much less the real manual, which is available only by download from the Garmin website. So if you want to carry only your GPS, it'll work well enough. However, for most of us, this fails to meet the minimun requirements.
