Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Garmin 4.3-Inch Carrying CaseCustomer Review: cheap Garmin case Summary: 3 Stars
This is a "case" of you get what you pay for. It was a cheap case, I knew that when I bought it. If my brain had been in gear on that day, I would have realized that, based on the size, only the unit inself, (and that just barely), would fit. Therefore no place to store cord or window holder. Better than nothing as it keeps in unit from getting scratched. Oh well, live and learnGarmin nüvi 1300LM 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator with Lifetime Map Updates.
Customer Review: Quality case with a very tight fit Summary: 4 Stars
The leather carrying case is ideal for storing your Garmin in a purse, fanny pack or other small space while away from your car. It has a small outer pocket for storing memory cards which can be useful. The only downside and it is small, is how tight the Garmin 650 fits into it. You need to press very firmly to get the GPS all the way in and when you pull it out, if you have the on button at the outside corner, you will definitely turn the device on before removing it from the case. Not really an issue, but I would have liked a little less tight fit.
Customer Review: A fine case Summary: 5 Stars
This case is exactly what I thought it would be. I basically use it as a scratch protector. It's not cushioned, so don't expect to be able to drop your Nuvi and be protected from breaking. It's a snug case and as one reviewer noted, it may turn on your unit as you slide it in or out. Not a big deal for me, but be careful and observant. Anytime my Nuvi isn't in use, it's in this case. Good case for the price (it was around $10 when I bought it, but honestly, I'd pay $15 for it - any price higher than that and I'd expect cushioning).
Customer Review: Good (not great) case Summary: 4 Stars
This case was bought for a Nuvi 700 series GPS and is a slip-in type (without a flap or other closure) that depends on friction to hold it inside the case. The case fits well and offers a good compromise between easy access to the gps and protection from bumps. One thing to watch out for: sliding the gps into the snug case can move the power switch to the "on" position or to the screen lock position depending on which end is inserted into the case. If the power switch does move, you want it to be in the screen lock position.
Customer Review: Not good for the price... Summary: 3 Stars
The item was a typical case for any type of mobile electronic device you would expect to COME WITH the device. The fact that I had to pay any money for this was very disappointing. While the Garmin I own does fit the case perfectly, the quality of the case can't be expected to really provide much protection for the unit. The best it will probably do is provide some good scratch protection, but that's about it. If you want a case that will protect your device from drops or anything of that sort, this IS NOT the case you want.
