Customer Review: Great for its purpose

I purchased this case for a Garmin Nuvi 765T. The case accomplished my goals completely. The original fit it extremely tight (so much so that the power switch was constantly being moved going in and out of the case) however; after leaving the unit in the case overnight the leather eased to a perfect fit.
Now this is the standard case offered by Garmin for all its 4.3" GPS units, it is very basic and provides a safe case for storing your GPS unit when you do not want it out in the open while also making it easy to pull out and use without too much fuss. It is great for the user who will actually get consistent use out of their GPS unit. For those users who seem to want a case in which to transport the unit, this is NOT for you. If for some reason you need a heavy duty case with belt loops and all the other frills do not buy this case, it is NOT intended for that.
Honestly, if you are someone who won't actually be USING the GPS but instead need to carry it around in a fully zippered pouch on your hip, then you can purchase ANY of the many generic hard cases for GPS, external hard drives, cameras, hand held video games, etc. All these cases are the SAME thing and if they manage to fit your unit, buy those. For anyone else just looking for a straight forward case to keep their GPS safe AND easily accessible, this case is PERFECT.
Customer Review: Disappointing quality

I don't understand all the glowing reviews for this case: based on the many four and five star ratings given by other owners, I figured it was a no-brainer and placed my order.
When it arrived, I was surprised to discover that the leather is coarse and thin and that there is no real padding for the Nuvi.
Basically, this is two pieces of hard plastic over which some low-grade leather has been stretched. The best thing I can say about it is that it fits the 650 snugly -- at least initially -- which is important, as one end of the case remains open (providing easy access to the headphone port and SD card slot, as well as a potential avenue for the carelessly handled Nuvi to slip out).
Do not look for a belt clip or carry strap option, either. This is simple protection of the most basic sort.
I do not expect this case to wear well; it just isn't constructed for regular daily use.
Given the price and quality of the Nuvi 600s, I expected better in a case.
BTW, shame on Garmin for not including even some flimsy basic protection like this in the box with the 650!
Unless it is important to you to get something with the Garmin name on it, I would advise shopping for a more durable and protective alternative to this case.

This carrying case for Garmin GPS navigators is very smooth to the touch and it clearly has enough room with some inside padding for my Garmin navigator. It seems well constructed and I like that. It also comes with a thin side pocket.
However, this is definitely not the best purchase I could have made. The case is open at the top (or one side, whatever way you look at it) and therefore you must be very careful about placing the GPS inside this case and then carrying the GPS inside. The GPS could easily slip out and perhaps fall onto a hard, concrete sidewalk making your day a rotten one indeed.
This is not the worst carrying case I've ever seen; but keep in mind that this carrying case is best used when you are carrying the GPS inside something that is closed, like a piece of carry-on luggage for an airplane ride or perhaps a lady's purse. The case and the GPS inside might also fit in a side pocket of a laptop computer carry case. If you can still make use of this case under those conditions you'll be satisfied. It's not for just carrying around any old way; there no strap for you to attach it to your belt and that's a disappointment, too.

Our nuvi 260W did not come with a case, and this was the one that was recommended as the case that fit the 260W on the Garmin web site.
It works for its purpose, which is to provide some basic protection for the GPS when it's not mounted in a vehicle. It doesn't have a belt clip, it doesn't have a zipper, it doesn't make julienne fries. It's not a fashion accessory that will impress your friends.
It's a simple slide-on case that holds our GPS securely and keeps the screen from being scratched when it's not in use. It's of the quality and utility that one would expect from a case that would be included with the GPS, but for whatever reason, Garmin decides not to do so.
For the price, it does what it's supposed to do. I've been using ours casually for almost two months, and have not had any problem with the case stretching to the point where the GPS can slip out. There are other cases that provide other features, so options are available if you're looking for some other utility.
This is a basic case that does what it's supposed to do. Nothing more, nothing less. Exactly what it should be.
Customer Review: Perfect fit for 255W

At the bottom of the packaging it says that this was designed for nuvi 800, 705, 700, 600, 205W, and 200 series navigation systems. It fits perfectly for the 255W as well.
If you are expecting something that will protect your system while it is in your pocket, this does the trick and it's not ugly. It's nothing more and nothing less. If you are expecting a Coach quality leather protector for just over $10 dollars, you are not very smart.
Also, if you put your system into the sleeve properly it will not turn on; it will just put the nuvi into lock mode which hurts no one.
Lastly, if your nuvi did not come with a wall charger you may want to buy one for it now so you don't have cords stringing all over the place in your car. Chances are you could be eligible for free shipping with the two combined (charger and case).
Little warning on the back of the packaging is a little disturbing:
