Customer Review: Doesn't work with standard fabric wristband

Be aware that there are at least two very similar fabric wristbands available for the Garmin Forerunner 305:
- The "Hook and loop fastener wrist", Garmin part number 010-10713-00; and
- The "Quick Release Wrist Strap" that comes with the "Garmin Forerunner Quick Release Kit", Garmin part number 010-10889-00
I already have the first one -- it works well with the attachment means to my Kayak. I **thought** that it was the same strap as comes with the Quick Release Kit -- from a distance they look the same. But they are different. The "Quick Release Wrist Strap" has a hard plastic base on it that the GPS clips on to. The other strap has no such fitting -- so doesn't work with this item.
So I am unable to use this device as intended so far (i.e., to easily switch between the bike clip and the fabric wristband). Don't know (yet) how well the bike clip will work, all I know is that the whole paradigm is incompatible with the fabric wristband I already have.
So I really should have bought the "Garmin Forerunner Quick Release Kit" instead of this product, as it includes the correct "Quick Release Wrist Strap".
