I've been looking at this Garmin for a couple years and just couldn't spend the $900.00 they wanted - but when Amazon had it for $362.00 I jumped on the deal. It has all the features I was looking for in a cycle GPS. The mapping system was out dated and Garmin gave me the new version free of charge another $80.00 savings. To be able to download and save routes is a huge factor also - as my wife and I like to just take the backroads and figure out where we are once we get lost - this will let us know how lost we are. When ordering this product you might want to buy the lock for the mount so no one can steel your unit - also a wall charger then you should be ready to. Garmin has the best products when it comes to GPS's in my opinion.Customer Review: Zumo 450

I love this GPS...installed it on my FJR 1300 and use it for long distance touring. I prefer to stay off of the Freeways and take backroads and this unit does a great job of finding great back roads. It was a little bit of a pain to hard wire, but I figured it out. I went to radio shack and purchased an inexpensive on'off switch which is very convenient. Then when I turn off my bike, I can swith off the motorcycle battery power and it will continue for quite a while on it's own internal battery power. Then when I am ready to ride again, I flip on my switch and it feeds off of the bike. Amazon had the best price at the time I bought this, but the price seems to fluctuate quite a bit. Right out of the box it runs. Mounting on the '04 GoldWing is easy when you find out that the connections are already there. The mount did not fit as nicely as did the previous mount I had for an older GPS. I had to buy an extension for the audio cable, but that was plug and play, too. Works just like the one I had in the car. The database is good, but there are street errors, of course, like the same (I assume)database in the car. The Zumo 450 itself is great, but the manual and help for MapSource are not as good as they should be. I've made a lot of mistakes trying to set up routes, and will probably make more. Since I am in Minnesota, in some of the coldest weather that we've had in several years, the Zumo 450 can't be tested on the bike. I got a mount and a power cord for our cars, and have just started testing. Yesterday was the first route test, and it didn't work very well -- somehow, I had loaded an inverted/reversed route. It kept telling me to go back home! And it was right, for the route I had actually loaded. So, now, I have to rethink what did, and come up with a different approach. -- JHWordenCustomer Review: Great GPSr

I have had my Zumo for about a year now, it has worked flawlessly. I enjoy riding remote back roads as well as highways and I have been pleasantly surprised that I have not yet found a "minimum maintenance" road that wasn't in the machine...I have always found my way home from all of my wanderings.
Thousands of happy miles of use, and on the rare occasion that I have dealt with Garmin technical help (switching from PC to Mac) their help has been quick, friendly, and accurate...I am very pleased.
One thing that I would change on my Zumo 450 is that I would make it Geocache friendly. I have to bring my Vista HCx along when Geocaching and motorcycling.
