Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of GTMax 3-Pack Premium Reusable LCD Screen Protector with Lint Cleaning Cloth for iPod touch 1G (Clear)Customer Review: Very easy to use! Summary: 4 Stars
I was worried that based on reviews of the plastic protective sheets for iTouch that it would be flimsy and difficult to apply, but this was very easy! I purchased this from Vortex Cable and it arrived in about 3 days. The item iself is easy as 1,2,3. First you peel off the top layer labeled #1 and then the tricky part is laying it perfectly ontop of the screen without bubbles. I was able to lift it off a couple of times to re-do it to get rid of the most bubbles (but couldn't get rid of ALL). I was worried these protectors were more like delicate stickers, but they are not floppy at all and easy to hold on its edges to prevent fingerprints from getting on the protector surface itself. After you lay it flat on the screen, you just remove the top layer labeled #2 and VOILA, you have a new clean screen. Comes in a pack of 3 (individually wrapped) for future use.
Customer Review: Perfect Protection Summary: 5 Stars
These are great and the price is right for a 3 pack of them. It was not too challenging putting this protector on.(Hint, only hold the sides of the protector when applying it to the iPod) This protector is crystal clear, I cant even tell that its on. The protector covers the entire front of the ipod touch (except the home button) though, it seems like its a slightly smaller, Im, not sure because i could of placed it on a little crooked. Which you cant even tell if you use a sleeve or iClear cover as I do.
I bought this to go with the Griffin 8167-ITCLR iClear Hard-Shell Case for iPod touch and having them both together makes me feel more comfortable about my ipod touch being well protected.
I'm !00% Satisfied with this product.
Customer Review: you get what you pay for Summary: 2 Stars
Don't get me wrong; at $1 a pop, these get the job done. At least, they'll keep your iPod's screen from getting scratched.
But it's no miracle product; the oils from your fingers show up at LEAST as visibly as they would without a protector. Also, the glare from this film is strikingly awful. Expect your iPod to be difficult to use outside. Finally, the feel of this protector on your fingers is not quite right; it gives too little resistance for my taste.
If you want a protective film that does a little better, check out the Power Support products, available through Apple. Yes, they are overpriced, but the anti-glare film does a far better job of protecting AND enhancing the iPod's native screen. Anti-Glare Film Set for iPod touch 2G
Customer Review: Not a perfect fit Summary: 3 Stars
Cons: The width is right on, but the length leaves about 3/16" exposed on the face. Also, the rounded corners don't match up exactly. The included cleaning cloth doesn't really work. I ended up putting a little rubbing alcohol and water mix on it to clean the screen, then used another microfiber cloth to actually get the screen cleaned before hand. No hole for camera, and the home button hole is just cut in as a slot. There are no instructions that come with it.
Pros: Great price, and I did like the way it goes on. There is a protective sheet on each side of the protector, so you take off the bottom one, apply the protector, then take off the top one. This added some good stiffness for easy application, and I only ended up with a very tiny bubble on the screen. It is slightly difficult to get the edges to set down completely.
Customer Review: Screen protectors work great Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased this for my iPod touch 3rd Gen and was concerned that, after reading other reviews, that I wouldn't be able to get the protector on just right. The good thing about this one is that it is not sticky so if you have to take it off, it won't leave any residue or anything. This is also a semi-hard cover so it's easier to apply. When applying to your screen, make sure to do it in good daylight. It is almost impossible to keep all dust off of your screen or the protector. The protector is almost like a static cling adhesive so any dust in the air gets drawn to it. When dust gets stuck underneath, it makes a little bubble that you can only get rid of if you try to scrape the piece of lint off the protector. It's not really worth it since you can't see it when the iPod/iPhone is on. This is a great product, especially for the price.
