Customer Review: Expect air bubbles, but price is right
Summary: 4 Stars

We read the instruction, other reviews, and practiced the procedure before putting on the screen. So, here's my thoughts:

First, Clean the screen. Clean it again. Hold it up to a bright light, find the lint and smudges and clean it again. Wear latex gloves or white dress, jewelers gloves when handling to keep finger smudges off the protector and off the glass before you get the protector on.

Second. Once it goes on the glass. IT DOES NOT WANT TO COME OFF. Make sure you have everything lined up before you pull the provided guard away from the screen to allow the protector to touch the glass. Start on one end and line up the edge of the proctector with the edge of the glass. Then, slowly pull the guard out as you let the proctor come down to the glass. Use a credit card or plastic squared off kitchen spatula to lightly press down of the proctector as you remove the guard in order to keep a tight contact and help prevent those pesky air bubbles. If you've ever laid Formica on a cabinet or table using contact cement, you'll know what to expect. If you have two people doing it, it helps a lot. One can hold the ipod steady and press out air. One can line up and hold the the protector and pull the guard.

Third: Expect air bubbles. We did this on two different units and for both had 1 or 2 small air bubbles that we had to push out or puncture and push out. We were extremely careful and methodical even but still got a bubble or two. So expect them, and if you don't have any, great.

Fouth: It's hard to complain too much for the price.

Customer Review: LCD Screen Protector for Ipod touch
Summary: 3 Stars

I wanted to try a screen protector with my new Ipod touch to prevent the screen from scratches. As this particular brand was inexpensive, I ordered it. The pack came with 3 screens. The application to the Ipod screen was relatively easy. To my surprise the protector screens were thicker than expected. The tab to hold the screen when applying it would not come off very easily. After tab removal, a sticky residue remained. To clean this residue I had to take the screen protector off again. I cleaned the spot with a drop of nail polish remover. That helped but because of taking off the screen protector one corner was bent and because of the thickness could not be bent back into shape without further bending the screen. I applied it again but the whole thing peeled off within 2 days.

Although I followed the instructions, the screen had some bubbles that could not be removed. However, they were small enough and did not show very much. The screen in my opinion does not work as well with a large cut-out silicone cover. Better: a hard plastic cover that will cover the bottom and more of the edges (and corners of the protector screen).

Since the demise of the first screen protector, I have not put on another. If I were really concerned about scratches on the screen I would probably replace it. I am just careful where I carry my Ipod and I don't just throw it in a bag with sharp objects, i.e keys, cell phone, etc.

Conclusion: It's a feature that can be useful but gets costly if screens have to be replaced continually; for me personally it's not a must-have.

Customer Review: Deceiving
Summary: 1 Stars

I'm not sure why Amazon continues to list this item, as it is false advertising. The product listed is a 3-pack of iKross screen protectors. What I and many others received, however, is a generic screen protector from China. Maybe that's just a little thing - it is a working protector, right?

Annoyance: You will be charged for insufficient postage when the item arrives. The seller uses a postage meter, and apparently they are unable to accurately apply correct postage. It was only 51 cents, but come on, I paid for shipping when ordering. I had to go to the post office and pay to get my already paid for item. Is that a big ordeal? No... but slightly annoying.

It is clearly stated in the item description (as well as on the package sticker) that this protector is for an iPod Touch. I find it interesting that the image on the packaging is of an iPhone with an iPhone screen protector being applied (there's a hole for the earpiece). This product is what it claims to be - it just seems that everything about this product and seller is cheap all around. Again, it's a small thing.

If you need a protector for your iPod Touch and don't mind who makes it or having to pay a little extra when it arrives, then this product should work fine. I think the best thing on this page is TigerDave's review, which offers a nice procedure for applying any screen protector to anything. For me though, there are too many little annoyances with this product/seller that I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Customer Review: Not iKross
Summary: 2 Stars

I ordered the product from seller, SF Planet. The product is acceptable, but it was not iKross brand. In the package are three screen protectors and three cleaning cloth as advertised. However, the manufacture assumes you are an expert at installing screen protector as there is not a single word of instructions. The manufacture didn't have to waste a single scrap of paper as there is plenty of room on the wrapper for some simple instruction. And if you not installed screen protectors before or haven't done it for a while you will need a little help.

Here is what you need to know - the thinner sheet is the screen protector. The thicker sheet is the backing. It is very easy to get bubbles between the screen protector and the iPod. I think part of the solution is to get all the dust out before applying. I got dust onto the protector because I was trying to figure out which is the protector and which is the backing. I ended up with some bubbles. Fortunately you get three protectors. I hope you won't make the mistake I made now that you know which is the protector and which is the backing.

Another noteworthy fact: if you order from seller, SF Planet, is that the manufacture applied a sticker tab to the protector as an aid to help you separate the protector from the backing. The sticker leaves a small sticky mess. The protector itself uses a non-messy adhesive, but the sticker tab uses a messy adhesive. What is up with that?

Customer Review: Ok, but there is something MUCH better.

I initially got this for my iPod Touch 2g. It does what it says it will do, BUT it attracts fingerprints and smears like crazy! I thought this was simply the price to be paid for protecting the screen.

However I was in a coffee shop the other day and this guy saw me cleaning my screen. He asked me if I had a screen protector on it and I said yes.

He pulled out his iPhone and handed it to me and said "Go ahead swipe, touch and tap it."

I did and much to my surprise THERE WERE NO SMUDGES OR FINGERPRINTS! I noticed that when tilted a little it had a slight non reflective satin sheen to it rather than a glossy reflection like mine did.

I asked him where he got his screen protector and he told me at the online apple store.

I did some research and found out the company that makes it is called "Power Support".

You don't have to get it at the apple store tho, you can get it here at Amazon or other places. Just search for "Power Support Anti Glare Film".

It IS around $15.00 for a set of 2 screen protectors.

HOWEVER, for the ability to have a smudge and fingerprint free iPod Touch and to reduce the glare on the screen, I was more than willing to pay the price.

Hope this helps!
