Customer Review: Does everything I wanted

There were absolutely no reviews anywhere when I bought this item, so it was a bit of a gamble, though for $[...] you can't go wrong. I'm still amazed by that price. I've only had it for a day so I'll write this review under the assumption that the device doesn't break down tomorrow.
The radio is circular in shape and a bit bulky. If you tuck it in under a shelf it looks great, otherwise it looks a bit old fashioned. It's basically a small stereo.
This will play burned CD's. The audio is nice and clear, though slightly muted. But I doubt you'll be critical about that in your groggy early morning state. If you turn the volume up, it's perfect. There is only a very faint whir of the CD player, it's not distracting and you can't hear it at all over the music.
This device allows you to wake up to a buzzer, the radio (which is clear), or a CD. It's very simple to set. You cannot choose which track on the CD plays, unfortunately. It automatically plays track 1. There is a "Random" button and a "skip" button if you decide you want to lay back down and wake up to a different song. There is also no headphone jack. Those are probably the only two features that this device lacks. I can live without them. This is only for waking up to CD's and listening to the radio. If I want to listen to music during the day, I have my laptop.
Assuming that it doesn't break down over time, this is a great product.

I purchased this CD clock radio because I found it difficult to sort through all the mixed reviews on everything else.
On the whole, I am very happy with it. It is easy to use, has a dimmer so I can sleep and am not bothered by the display, and the CD seats securely so that it does not bounce around as they can sometimes do in these small, inexpensive devices. It woke me right on schedule and was easy to wake up to.
The only drawback, and I guess you can't get everything in a device in this price range, is that the sound quality, particularly at the low levels I often use in my bedroom, is quite airy sounding.
If you want good sound -- or you "want it all" -- this is not the device for you. If you want a workable and inexpensive CD clock radio, this is a good choice in my opinion.

After opening the box I was a bit dissapointed due to the made-in-china (flimsy, fragile) feel of the product. The clock display is rather bright but I personally find it great when I have to get up in the night (keeps me from bumping into everything). It seems to work fine, with exception of the CD player having difficulty with some CDs, and being overly loud. I actully wake up to the sound of the CD starting and not the actual music, but it beats an annoying beep. You get what you pay for, lower price lower = quality product, but has met all my needs thus far, hence the three stars.Customer Review: Other than the CD player, just fine

I ordered this for my daughter (6) who wanted to wake up to music on the radio. As it's hard to find a radio station locally that plays anything appropriate for a girl her age in the morning (and music), I thought this would be the way to go. Unfornately, the CD player wouldn't read CD's. These were commercial CD's, not CD-R's, but the disc would spin and the player didn't read it. In the meantime, we found something else in a brick and mortar store so decided to return instead of exchange this model. Amazon was great about the return.Customer Review: MOVE ON

OK, obviously if you're considering this then price is a concern and you're trying to get something on the cheap... but trust me you can do better. This thing sucks, flat out. Shotty craftsmanship, utterly basic controls, no option to choose the track you wake up to, and the list goes on. Since purchasing this a few years ago I have moved away from CD's and gone to using my iphone with a docking station, but if you're still using discs trust that you need to spend a few more dollars to get something you won't want to throw at the wall.
