Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of GPX C3948BI Ultra-Slim CD Player with 40-Second Anti-Shock Protection and Car KitCustomer Review: good playa Summary: 5 Stars
This playa is DA BOMB! Not only is it an attractive CD player, but it also actually plays REALLY WELL! It has a hold button on it so if you have annoying siblings who like to change the song while you're listening to a good one already, all you have to do it push the hold button, and they can't do that! And the ESP works really well on bumpy rides (not that is skips that much to begin with anyway) so if you have to ride to a baseball game on a bus, it helps, trust me. It has a lighter adaptor also, so I'm not always draining my batteries in the car. And its got this really cool tape thing, and all you do, if you don't have a CD player in your car (like me), then you put the tape in and plug it into your cd player and it plays your cds! Cool isn't it? I told ya. I read the other reveiws and none of that crap has happened to me yet. The head phones are good, but if you don't like them, its not like you can't go buy a better pair anyway. But mine work perfectly. I haven't got any complaints about this player... If you want a good looking AND a good player period...THIS IS THE ONE! I suppose that is all. :)
Customer Review: Very Good for the Price Summary: 4 Stars
It eats up batteries fast, i suggest getting rechargables, and the antishock didn't work on some cds, but its great for $.... I've seen others for as much as $..., and it does work well. Many people complained about the headphones but i found nothing wrong with them. They didn't fit well at first, but if you put them on backwards they fit and work fine. The bass boost was kind of weak, but it worked ok. It is kind of flimsy and skips alot unless you put on the antishock. With it on its very good and doesn't skip no matter what you do. But i have found that it doesn't work on some cds for some reason, and its always the same ones. It starts skiping and then shuts off. I believe it has to do with how the songs are set up, when I looked on the bottom of the cd the ones that had the groves close together on the outer egde did not always work with the antishock. But if you left it still it works fine without the esp anyway. I lost the insturtions and i don't remember how the random thing works, but over all its a great player for a great price and i'm not complaining.
Customer Review: Pretty Good Summary: 3 Stars
Well, it doesn't have the resume thing, and I like that in a CD Player, and it doesn't have the repeat 1/repeat all thingie, which I REALLY like in a CD Player, but it does have Intro, which is pretty cool. It looks TOTALLY cute, the see-through blue cover really caught my fancy, and what totally rocks is that the headphones actually match, and have the see through stuff on them too! although...the headphones are kinda fruity also, (sorry, i talk weird)aka: they break easily. The thing that really ticks me off is that that company only made what they had to and no more, that really peeves me, they should of and could of put a lot more effort into this, but they only gave what they had to, it's a really awesome design, but there should be more behind it. If ya wanna show it off to your friends, it's the perfect thing, but I'd suggest getting another one too, to actually LISTEN to the music with, lol.
Customer Review: This can't br GPX! Summary: 5 Stars
I had really needed a CD Player to carry around on trips and basically just for personal use. I was attracted to the more expensive Sonys, RCAs, and Panasonics, but like many just couldn't afford it. I needed something inexpensive but at the same time worth the money put into it. That's when I saw this. I was skeptical about buying it, I had gotten use to the expensive stuff. But since I was desperate I bought it anyway and I was sure surprised. The Anti-Skip works just as good if not better than the more expensive ones. The bass-boost sounds like something you'd find in a Sony. And it just topped it with the Car adapter. You don't even get that in a $70 set. Total knockout. If you're skeptical like I was about the low cost compared to the more expensive, or if you're just flat out skeptical, this is the best CD player I have bought yet. This is a must buy and a best buy in one.
Customer Review: If you been waiting to buy one, this is the one!!! Summary: 5 Stars
The price, selection and slim design are unbeatable. I bought a cd personal player when they first came out they were bulky and wouldn't play right. Everytime you moved (the shock) the cd would start over. It was a waste of money. The GPX BLUE ICE ULTRA-SLIM CD PLAYER, caught my eye on it's slim, graceful, clear-blue design. It's everything you could want, light and portable! It's pretty too! I fell in love with it when I took it out of the box. Next day I put it too the test, at work. My job involves being outdoors. It held up to bumps and falls. It's GREAT! Then I tried the Car kit, plugged it into the cassette player. the music and volume (with the bass turned off on the GPX blue ice cd player) sound ohhh! so real! It's like the GPX blue ice ultra-slim cd player Is built in to the console. This is money well spent!!!
