Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Goldtouch Adjustable Keyboard (Black)

Customer Review: Poorly Designed
Summary: 1 Stars

Though it says it's for MAC, it was clearly designed by PC thinking people. My first horror was to discover that it does NOT have a USB port for the mouse on the keyboard itself. As the MAC only has 3 USB ports, my hub is full and I don't need one more thing to plug into it.

Secondly, it doesn't sit upright as shown. It adjusts awkwardly and sits flat. Beware also, Goldtouch's RMA form states: A 15% restocking fee will apply to unopened product. A 50% restocking fee will apply to opened
product. I don't know how they expect you to know if you'll like it by looking at the box.

Pass on this one.

Customer Review: stiff keys and inconsistent action
Summary: 2 Stars

This _could_ be a great keyboard, but after only one day with it I couldn't go on using it. It is possible to adjust it so that your hands are in a very comfortable position. The problem is that the action on the right side of the keyboard is terrible - the keys require _way_ too much travel to activate, and the action on the right side is much, much too stiff. Not only is there too much travel for each key, unless the keys are pressed down at an angle exactly pependicular to the keyboard, they won't go down. So my hands ended up more tired than they would have been on my old keyboard. I had to return it.

Customer Review: got wide shoulders?
Summary: 5 Stars

This is by far the very best designed keyboard I have ever found. I am wide shouldered and all other keyboards I've ever tried make my wrists twist inward and my shoulders "scrunch" up. I found this QWERTY in 2000 and have never been disappointed (or sore) when working on it. It's a bit strange at first because the keys actually fit your finger/wrist position naturally but once you get used to it, I bet you will never go back and wonder why you suffered for so long without it. I'd give it a thousand stars if they'd let me.

Customer Review: I'm a programmer, this is necessary.
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm a computer programmer and I use all those funky buttons on the keyboard all day long. I appreciate the layout of the page-up, home, end keys and such. If you do a lot of typing, I think you need an adjustable keyboard. Those Microsoft and Logitech split keyboards are poor substitutes. You've still got to make sure to stretch and take breaks; the keyboard isn't a miracle. However, I would not be able to do my job with a normal keyboard.

Customer Review: Great keyboard for women, too!
Summary: 5 Stars

The keyboard is easy to adjust so that it is angled perfectly for ergonomic comfort. It fits my small-to-average-for-a-woman hands, and would also fit larger hands great. It even has two spacebars, one each for the left and right thumb. (As opposed to the Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 keyboard, which doesn't work at all for small hands, with particular problems for the thumbs.) I highly recommend this.
