I would not recommend this phone. At least one other reviewer had the same problem I am having...poor battery life. I have had this GE phone now for about a year and a half. The batteries on all three phones barely last for 10 minutes before they die and the call then cuts out. And don't even think about using it as a speaker phone. My only complaint with this product is in the answering system. When you retrieve the messages the process you go through is to long for me. There is an announcer that speaks and gives a lot of unnecessary information before the message is played to you. It just takes to long to get your messages. Other than that the product is great. This unit took only a few minutes to install once I charged the batteries. I used all the defaults for voicemail, etc because I am lazy. The receiver volume control goes up to "4" and for me, at the maximum, it could be a little louder, especially if there is competing noise in the room. Other than that, I have no complaints and am pleased.Customer Review: Beware!

Description says it has "all the most popular features." Wrong! Only one handset can be used at a time--no 3-way calling! If you are on the phone with Grandma, the kids can't get on another handdset and talk with her. This is not spelled out in any of the promotional material--it is only covered on the last page of the owner's manual.Customer Review: Good product, but needs revision

I bought this phone expecting better reception and range, but did not see any improvement at all. Only major complaint is that the keypad does not light up like previous GE models I had bought.
I like the "do not disturb" button on the base that turns off all ringers.
Overall good product, but can be improved.
