Childrens Talking Dictionary is a useful tool to keep children learning in a fun way. Some kids don't want to learn because it seems like too much work. The talking dictionary makes it fun because it is a game. As a parent I even get stumped on some of the hangman solutions. The kids just love to see mom stumped. I purchased this for my 8 yr old daughter for Christmas; she loves it! We both like the idea of loading weekly spelling words and playing games using those words. There are many things you can do with this dictionary. Even my 11 yr old and his friends enjoy playing the games! I like that they are learning as they "play". What I love most about this gadget, is that it illustrates how to write words in cursive. You can type in a word, see its definition, synonyms and antonyms, and how to actually write it in print and cursive. You can play games, and it has a rhyme finder, which is handy for a child writing poetry. I'm glad I bought it.Customer Review: Gift of Knowledge!

This is wonderful, I put my sons' spelling words in this, I have to get two more as I have four boys. It is wonderful at the definitions for 6-10 years old. This device has word scramble game, missing letter, tic tac toe and a few others. It shows you how to practice writing words in manuscript and cursive.

10 year old Kid uses the Franklin Talking Dictionary all the time. Got him more interested in spelling correctly. The fact that it talks back is more stimulating to him. It's easy to use; didn't have to show him how to use it. I recommend this dictionary to any parent looking to entice their child to spell correctly.
