I bought a very expensive underwater camera to go with it before I went on my cruise. I went snorkeling and had this attached to my camera. It floated the camera very well. As I was taking pictures, I let go of the camera, with the strap around my wrist. The camera went to the bottom and the orange part of the strap became disconnected from the camera. Fortunately, the camera was in 10 feet of water and I could retrieve it. But I can't trust the connection. It will come apart. Maybe if the connection was glued and wouldn't come apart, this would be an excellent strap for swimming.
