Digital Cameras Photo Reviews of Flip Video TripodCustomer Review: Flip Mino HD is great in every respect but has limitations Summary: 4 Stars
I have enjoyed the simplicity and incredible quality of my new HD Flip. I am still trying to figure out how to transfer the humongous ammounts of data involved with mp4 but I am sure there is a simple solution somewhere. The image and sound are excellent and operation is a breeze. My only gripe is that there seems to be no choice other than a USB port to charge these babies. No computer on hand means no Flip when the battery dies. This could be a problem for those who travel or do not own a laptop. All in all, this is one of the best gadgets I have bought in a long time. Great price too! The tripod works great! I know this is a tripod review but what more can I say? It's a simple product!
Customer Review: Cool looking but it's not really useful Summary: 1 Stars
I thought this was a good idea when I first checked it out but now that I have used it, I see my purchase was a mistake. I went online to check out alternative tripods and bought a small aluminum frame tripod that proved to be a very effective soulution. The specific issues were the weight of the Flip Cam would cause the tripod to easily become unbalanced and fall over...also, it's too short, not enough height to be of any real value. I would suggest that the manufacturer of the Flip ATR1B increase its height about 3-4 inches more which might make it more stable and increase the height so that you didn't have to set it on top of books or something to get a good self-video while at your desk.
Customer Review: WORTHLESS WASTE OF MONEY! TINY LITTLE THING Summary: 1 Stars

NO MATTER HOW I TRIED TO ADJUST IT ..IT JUST KEPT FALLING OVER! i TRIED IT 3 TIMES ... CONTINUED TO FALL OVER ... IT IS A LITTLE BITTY PIECE OF JUNK ... I THREW IT IN THE TRASH CAN PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR
IF THIS IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO THY NEED TO STOP MAKING THEM...ASAP
WITH THE "FLIP" SCREWED ONTO IT I WAS AFRAID THE CAMERA WOULD FALL OVER AND GET BROKE SO I STOPPED TRYING TO MAKE IT STAND UP.... THE PLACE WHERE IT SCREWS IN IN ON THE SIDE OF THE FLIP AND IT MAKES IT LOP SIDED FROM THE START... AWFUL
Customer Review: very useful litlle tripod Summary: 5 Stars
Well I recieved my tripod from amazon in the mail yesterday and have spent some time with it,here are my thoughts.
pros:lightweight, well built and helpfull for very steady shots
cons:the rubber feet are a hassal to get on,can't tilt the camera
Well overall this is one of the most simple tripods i've ever used. The legs are made outta metal, which means it wont break easy.
So far Ihave used this for my youtube channel to increase the quality of my angles and its working very well for me.
overall if your a flip video camcorder owner and need the best buget tripod you can afford look no further
Customer Review: Total Overpriced Rip-Off! Summary: 1 Stars
All of the Flip accessories are rip-offs price wise, but this is by far the most egregious. Tripods like this without the Flip logo can be found at camera stores for under $5, online for around a dollar and often with free shipping (I got mine for $.50 when a major nationwide computer retailer chain went under 2 years ago). Flip's $20 HDMI cables are $2 online from a very reputable retailer I won't mention for fear of violating Amazon's posting rules. I suspect they set their margins on the camcorder low in hopes of making up with obscene profits on the accessories. This kind of profiteering is just shameful, particularly in these economic times.
