I love this little guy. I was hesitant to buy it at first because it's so small and was worried about how much the picture/my hand would shake. It does affect it but it's still very worthwhile video. Especially if you're able to set it down to film. The battery life is fine. We've been using it off and on for a few weeks and are only now getting a low battery warning. It's so tiny it fits right in my purse or husbands pocket. Highly recommend it. The 30 minute time limit hasn't been a detterent for us since we usually only shoot for a minute or two and haven't taken it on any vacations where downloading could be a pain. I purchased this Flip video camera about 6 weeks ago. The software would not install on my computer at first but suddenly on the 10-11 time it went smooth as a whistle. I still haven't been able to play a video on a TV. I haven't done any editing. The videos download easily and the file set up is simple. I am really pleased and surprised at the quality of the video and sound. I have taken about 90 minutes of video most of it close up such as in a restaurant or in a conversational group. The video is very sharp and the audio is clear. Given the low price I am quite pleased with this camera -- the quality of the video and the ease of use.Customer Review: Vacation Camera

I just picked up a Flip for a weeks trip down to Mexico. Thought it would be a nice substitute for an expensive and heavy camcorder. The Flip came through and made the trip! It really shone when the subjects were close (within 8 feet) and was able to capture the vibe of the situation. The picture clarity was excellent and the sound was good to about 5 feet. It didn't perform as well for landscape shots but those are best served by still cameras anyways. It did attract quite a bit of attention and the playback function was very easy to use. I'm still not sure it is as good as some of the other reviews state. So far what I like best is the sale price, audio quality, and the software to edit movies. Although it turns on easy, off is another matter. Sometimes I have to push the button numerous times to get it to shut off. Also, either on or off you have to push it quickly and short. If you hold the on/off button too long it doesn't turn on at all. Also, with polarized sunglasses it is hard to tell if it is on or off.

I've bn looking for a small camcorder that was inexpensive, easy to use (I'm a bit electronically challenged)& reliable. FOUND IT! I opened the box,put in batteries & the kids & I started playing. My daughter had a soccer tourney that wknd & while she always seemed to score from the other side of the field (yes, a little bragging)it took decent video. I found it fairly easy to download & am still learning all the things to do to delete scenes, put them together etc. But the kids have fun making music videos while waiting on dinner or being silly in the car. Hopefully the product will be around to record loads of family good times!
