The foam pouch is not a quick on & off device. But will be good protection when carried in purse or bag. I thought the price a little high, and wonder how long it will last (wear & tear )wise. Another thing is if you have the small lanyard handle attached to the Flip, there is no place for it to go in the pouch unless you wad it up and stuff it in. I will use this pouch, but others should know its not real convenient.Customer Review: Flip pouch: If it doesn't fit, you must ... er ... quit

The Flip Ultra is a great little video camera, but this neoprene pouch apparently was designed for the Mino series and not the Ultra series, which are significantly larger devices. The Ultra is very difficult to get in and out of this thing -- don't waste your money. The fabric pouch provided at no charge with Ultras works fine. Fortunately, I didn't pay for this; it was a freebie, which is exactly what it's worth.Customer Review: Very cool but white strip peels off pretty easily

I got this with my Flip camera in a package [...]. Initially I thought it was quite impractical as it's very tight and hard to pull off when you need to film something quickly, but I realized that the brilliance of it is in indeed in the fact that it can remain on, and you just pull down the top of it and film away. It's a pity the printed white strip comes off when your 7 1/2 month old chews on it though...Customer Review: Way over priced!

This is nothing more than a $4.95 piece of protection. Way overpriced on this item. It should have been included with the Ultra Camcorder which is difficult to get to work properly on my computer. I have to do work arounds. I have yet to be able to load their program that comes with the camera on a new XP pro computer with 2 gigs of ram and 3, 500 meg hard drives. Good final picture though for the price.Customer Review: Not worth it

OK, I really like the Flip video recorder. Maybe the company felt they had to make a bit more on it, so they contracted out this pouch for 25 cents and sell it for $15. Not a bad way to recoup the discount on a great video recorder.
The soft pouch that comes with the Flip is fine. Save yourself some $$, buy some extra batteries, don't bother with this thing.
