When you've extended your boom stand to it's fullest and it starts to nose dive because it's counterweight ain't doing it, this bag, filled with either sand or, for extra oomph, lead pellets, allows you that extra reach. For video/filming on a swivel boom, the extra weight makes for a smoother pan. The dual-zippered compartments guard against leakage and the orange stripes guard against bumped noggins. With it's saddle-bag design it can be draped over the boom or a leg of the stand or, if the angle of the boom is too steep, can be hung by it's strap-handle.(an "S" hook would be handy) It's working for me and the price was worth it.

Made of nylon fabric, with two heavy duty zippers on each side of the saddle bag to increase strength and resist leakage. These bags may be filled on location with sand, etc. Not intended to be filled with water! Large handle on both sides.
