Customer Review: Trouble holding large books open

This book stand's wire is sturdy enough to hold large books, but the design does not hold the pages of the large book open, which is rather the point of a book stand. For example, this stand cannot hold my Fannie Farmer cookbook open to a the griddlecakes page. Nor can it hold open my collected works of Jane Austin. The book stand also can't hold small paperbacks open. However, if you are certain that you will only ever only want to read medium sized books, then this is the stand for you.Customer Review: Just OK for an Apple iPad stand

I bought a couple of these for quick cheap iPad stands. I was hoping the arms that come in front of the iPad were more spring loaded and would hold the iPad snuggly. But when adjusted for different angles, the front arms just sit out in front of the iPad. They are not spring loaded at all. This is ok and it still works to hold the iPad upright. So if you need a quick iPad stand that packs flat this could do it. It comes with enough plastic caps to cover each exposed metal rod end.Customer Review: Will never be without my book stand again!

I love my book stand/holder and I'll never be without one again!
I use it for all my reading, including my cook book. The book stand/holder has solved the problem I had with my neck getting sore and getting knots under my arms from holding my books. I was constantly trying to find a comfortable position for reading. Problem solved!!! Now I sit comfortably at the table, or on the sofa with a TV tray, and read to my hearts content. A must have for people who love to read!

I needed a stand to hold books while typing notes/quotes into the computer when writing papers. This stand does the job. The legs/page holders are adjustable so that it can accomodate different size books. It is great, especially for the price. It works to hold books while eating - which is great for students. It is compact and easily folds. I bought one for my desk at home, one for my backpack to keep with me at school and one for a friend (she loves it too!).Customer Review: great cookbook holder - in a pinch

This makes a great cookbook holder in a pinch. I have 2 of these in my kitchen area and they are very useful for paperback or hardcover cookbooks. Plus they don't take up a lot of space on the counter. They won't hold overly large cookbooks like the coffee table ones but excellent for any of the medium-sized celebrity chef cookbooks out these days (e.g. Jamie Oliver, Barefoot Contessa cookbooks). I've used mine for over a decade.
