Customer Review: Great book holder for most books

This product really works great. It is limited in how many pages it can hold- but on those occasions, it just requires a little creativity to keep the remaining pages in place (e.g. attach a paper clip to the holders, bending it in place to make room for some extra pages). But for the most part, it can handle all the books I need just fine.
Perhaps the only product I've ever purchased that I consistently get compliments on ("where did you get that thing?!")
And it is compact. I keep in folded up in my bag at all times and it takes up virtually no space at all and weighs nothing.

I like this. It holds books well. It is holding up well and gets the job done. It is more for books you put would put on a table or desk to read. Not for say taking on a bus to read a paperback. The flipklip is great for doing that. This one is more of a "I have to type from a textbook onto my computer" kind of thing. It holds all books but thick volumes like a dictionary. This one is great for holding a cookbook while you are stirring a pot, for learning to type and it holding the book open, for hardbacks that you just don't want to hold with your hands and have it hold it open for you, things like that.Customer Review: Perfect for my Kindle

Because I frequently travel for business, I spend quite a bit of time on airplanes and in restaurants on my own. My Kindle was the first greatest thing Amazon did for me, but the Fellows Stand is the second. Even on the plane, I set it up on the tray table and it works perfectly. In restaurants, I no longer have a cobble together an angles support of salt shakers and constantly fight with my Kindle slipping off them.
The Fellows stand is inexpensive yet durable, light yet sturdy, travels flat in my bag yet sets up easily and is somewhat angle adjustable. It was a great buy!

True, if your textbooks are incredibly thick (over 1.5 inches) or heavy, this isn't what you're looking for. But if you're a student/professor who likes to study at the coffee shop, you can't beat this. It folds, so it can become as thin as a book and fits nicely against other books in a bookbag. Great for holding books open while you're reading. I find myself using this contraption quite frequently when I'm copying direct quotations from books; eliminates one-handed typing or books on laps. I found out about this Study Stand from the Apple weblog The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW-[...]). I was looking for an inexpensive device to prop my iPad up on my desk and table. This does the job perfectly, and much cheaper than the official Apple iPad Dock ($29). Though it does not have the 30 pin connector like the official dock this does the job if you are using the Apple Wireless Keyboard (Retail Packaging). I picked this up on another site for $[...] and it is well worth the price.
